How quickly does hair grow?

There is no general answer to how fast hair grows.

Because that depends on the hair type, gender, age, hormonal status and ethnicity.

The average hair growth per day is about 0.3 to 0.5 mm, about 1 to 1.5 cm per month and 12 to 15 cm per year.

The exciting thing about it is that the growth cycle is faster in summer than in winter and slower at night than during the day. Believe it or not, men tend to have thicker hair and slightly faster hair growth compared to women.

Our hair itself consists of horny threads - a mixture of keratin, melanin, sulfur, water and fat. The pigments in the hair determine our innate hair color.

Humans have an average of 100,000 hairs on their heads: blonde people usually have a little more, up to 150,000 (but mostly thinner hair), dark-haired around 100,000 and red-haired around 80,000 hair.

We cannot influence the natural number of our hair because it is genetically determined in every person.

But we can get rid of unwanted hair in many places on the body and curb hair growth. With the laser hair removal, we succeed painlessly and permanently.
